3️⃣7️⃣ Abū ‘Abdillah said in the narration of al Maymūnī:
And anything other than water then one does not perform ablution with that. Allah ﷻ said: ﴾And you cannot find water, then purify yourselves with clean earth﴿¹, and the narration of Ibn Mas‘ūd regarding nabīdh does not have a chain, only Abū Fazārah narrates it, and he is not well known for narrating, and Ibn Mas‘ūd was not with the Prophet ﷺ on the night of the Jinn. And rosewater is not water, it is simply something extracted

3️⃣8️⃣ And he said in the narration of Abu al Hārith:
If bread or dates or chickpeas fall into water, there is no harm in performing ablution with it, unless it becomes nabīdh; and safflower water, chickpea water, bean water or cheese water, then ablution should not be performed with these.
