1924 ….from Ayyūb al Asbahānī, and he was from the best Muslims, he said:
I used to have a jewish neighbour, and I used to invite him to Islam but he’d refuse. Then he died and I saw him in a dream. So I said to him, “What did you go to?”
He said, “To the fire.”
So I said to him, “I used to invite you to Islam but you’d refuse.”
He said, “So you all think there’s no one in the fire worse than us?! Whoever says ‘the Qur’an is created’ is below us by a level.”
