1- Al Qāsim bin Ahmad narrated to us, ‘Abdul Wahhāb bin ‘Abdul Hakam narrated to us, Yazīd bin Hārūn narrated to us, Hammād bin Salamah narrated to us, from Ya’lā bin ‘Atā, from Wakī’ bin Hudus, from his paternal uncle Abī Razīn, he said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Our Lord laughed due to the desperateness of His slaves and the quickness of His changing (their situation).”
I said: O Messenger of Allah, does our Lord laugh?
He said: Yes.
I said: We will not be deprived of good from a Lord that laughs.

2- Ahmad narrated to us, Muhammad bin Ja’far al Rāshidī narrated to us, Abu al Hārith narrated to us, he said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imām Ahmad bin Hanbal) saying:

Indeed Allah Almighty and Sublime will Laugh to His slaves on the Day of Judgement.

3- ‘Abdullah narrated to us, Hanbal narrated to us, he said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imām Ahmad bin Hanbal) saying:

Allah Almighty and Sublime Laughs, and we do not know how that is, except by believing the Messenger and affirmation of the Quran.

4- Ahmad narrated to us, he said:

I asked Tha’lab about his saying: “Your Lord laughed due to the desperateness of His slaves and the quickness of His changing”.
He said: The quickness of mercy towards you.
