ahAbu ‘Ubayd said: and regarding this there is an another interpretation which says:‎ That it is regarding Hajj. ….From Mujāhid regarding His statement -the Most High- :‎ ‎

﴾ وَلَا جِدالِ فِي الْحَجِّ‎ ﴿‎

{ and no disputing in Hajj } ‎[Surah al Baqarah: 197]‎

He said: Hajj has been established in the month of Dhul Hijjah, and there should be no dispute in it.

And from Mujāhid, he said:‎The Arabs during Jāhiliyyah (time of ignorance) used to perform Hajj two years in Dhul Qi’dah and two ‎years in Dhul Hijjah, so when it was the year wherein Abu Bakr performed Hajj before the Hajj of ‎the Prophet ‎ﷺ‎ , Hajj was in the second year in Dhul Qi’dah, and when it was the year the Prophet ‎ﷺ‎ performed Hajj, the following year, Hajj returned to Dhul Hijjah. ‎

And that is his ‌‏ (ﷺ)‏statement: Verily the time has revolved around in its original configuration the day ‎Allah created the heavens and earth.¹

He says: Hajj has been establisted in Dhul Hijjah.‎‎
