🍃 From Abdullah bin Mas‘ūd: «Whoever wants to follow the Sunnah, then they should follow those who have already died, for indeed the living are not safe from fitnah, – those are the companions of Muhammad ﷺ, they were the best of this Ummah, the most righteous hearts of them, the deepest in knowledge of them, the least in making things unnecessarily difficult. Allah chose them to accompany His Prophet, and to establish His religion, so know their merit, and follow them in their footsteps, and hold on to their character and lifestyle as much as you can, for indeed they were upon the upright guidance»
