🌊 ΑႦυ Ɒαɯυԃ said: I heard Ahmad more than once being asked: When is Takbīr done in the Days of Tashrīq? He said: The morning of ‘Arafah, and one ends it in the last of the Days of Tashrīq at ‘Asr. I said to Ahmad: One does Takbīr at ‘Asr, then stops? He said: Yes.
🌊 ΑႦυ Ɒαɯυԃ said: I said to Ahmad: How is the Takbīr? He said: Like the Takbīr of Ibn Mas‘ūd, meaning: اللَّه أكبر اللَّه أكبر، لا إله إلا اللَّه، واللَّه أكبر اللَّه أكبر، وللَّه الحمد. Ahmad said: They narrate from Ibn ‘Umar: He would do Takbīr three times اللَّه أكبر اللَّه أكبر اللَّه أكبر. Ahmad said: Do the Takbīr of Ibn Mas‘ūd.
🌊 ΑႦυ Ɒαɯυԃ said: I said to Ahmad: Regarding one who misses some of the prayer on the Days of Tashrīq? He said: He should not do Takbīr till he finishes, meaning: He makes up what he missed, Takbīr is not part of the prayer.
🌊 ΑႦυ Ɒαɯυԃ said: I heard Ahmad being asked must a traveller do Takbīr in the Days of Tashrīq? He said: If they pray in congregation.
🌊 ΑႦυ Ɒαɯυԃ said: I heard Ahmad another time being asked about Takbīr in the Days of Tashrīq? He said: From when they stone the Jamrah till the people return from Mina.
🌊 ΑႦυ Ɒαɯυԃ said: I said to Ahmad bin Hanbal (May Allah be pleased with him): One does Takbīr in the voluntary – I mean: at the end of the voluntary prayers in the Days of Tashrīq? He said: No, Ibn ‘Umar, if he prayed alone, didn’t do Takbīr, and this is more.
🌊 ΑႦυ Ɒαɯυԃ said: I heard Ahmad being asked: How is Takbīr on the Day of Fitr (Eid after Ramadan)? He said: اللَّه أكبر اللَّه أكبر.It was said to Ahmad: Ibn al Mubārak used to say on Fitr meaning with Takbīr: الحمد للَّه ما هدانا.He said: This is broad.
🌊 ΑႦυ Ɒαɯυԃ said: Ahmad narrated to us, he said: Yahyā bin Sa‘īd narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from Nāfi’, that Ibn ‘Umar used to do Takbīr those days at Mina at the end of the prayers, and in his tent, in his passage, and on his way, in all of those days.
