Mention of what Allah has singled the Prophet ﷺ out for of the Praiseworthy Station on the Day of Resurrection
3165/7 – Ibn Battah said: He will sit with his Lord on the Throne, and this is not granted to anyone else. This is what Nāfi’ narrated, on the authority of Ibn ‘Umar, on the authority of the Prophet ﷺ:
﴾Perhaps your Lord will raise you to a Praiseworthy Station﴿ [Surat al-Isrā: 79],
he said: He will seat him with Him on the Throne.
And this is how Mujahid did tafseer (explanation) of it, as narrated by Muhammad bin Fudayl, on the authority of Layth, from him.
3166/8 – Abu Bakr Ahmad bin Salmān al-Najjād said: If someone swore by divorce three times that Allah Almighty would seat Muhammad with Him on the Throne, and he asked me about his oath, I would say to him: You spoke the truth, and you fulfilled your oath, and your wife remains as she is.
Ibn Battah said:
This is our doctrine, our religion, and our belief. We were raised upon it, and we will remain upon it until we die, God willing. Therefore, it is incumbent upon us to denounce whoever rejects this virtue which the scholars have stated and accepted. Whoever rejects it is among the doomed sects.
